About ‘Sublime Beauty’ Johanna says, “Since embarking on my journey into my local landscape through my present work, I have held onto my core values that the Sublime is an extension of Beauty and this is evident in my work through its elevation in preciousness. Interwoven with this belief is that just as humankind has many layers, so does the landscape, including that of man's intrusion. Building up layers and consequently exposing what is hidden, offers me the opportunity to explore the ‘Sublime Beauty’ of the area which I inhabit”.
