Peripheral Arts presents The Art of Storytelling, through a dynamic delivery of performances and visual artists to be held in The Pod Lounge which will be located on Omrah Avenue, Caloundra and will be part of the Horizon Ignites festival launch, lantern parade and street carnivale.

Bar services available and a rich tapestry of slam, community stories and The Global Hub. The Art of Storytelling tours with The Pod Lounge, our inflatable travelling festival venue and centre of all things Horizon festival 2016. An event which promises a cultural, wordsmith, musical and visual arts feast.

4.45pm Local music performance by Dear Willow.
5pm Welcome to Country with Lyndon Davis
5.20pm Indigenous Australian Storytelling and Didgeridoo performance by Lyndon Davis
5.30pm MC Introduction: Nycole Prowse - Peripheral Arts, The Art of Storytelling introduction, Story Slam Instructions, Put your name in a hat during the course of the program. Drift Picture's Photo Booth Blackboard Documentary and Free Vevato Kustom Weaving Workshop with Kilagi:  Vevato Kustom Weaving Workshop
540pm Performance by local songstress:  Dear Willow.
6pm Community stories by Caloundra Community Centre and The Global Hub

Performance by Dear Willow.

6.45pm Words and Canvas with professional storytelling and artistic installation. Storyteller will be Inga Simpson and Artist Lynda Black.
7pm Performance by Dear Willow.

Story Grand Slam Heat No. 1 - each story teller gets 3 minutes to wow the audience/judges of their story that relates to the Horizon Festival theme.Story tellers will be judged on staying within the 3 minutes, stay true to the theme of the Festival, audience response

8pm Event concludes.
