A traditional meeting place for our Aboriginal ancestors, Stumers Creek will play centre stage for our Horizon festival finale gathering Dawn Awakening - a ceremonial celebration of the awakening of a new dawn; the traditional stories of our First Nations Peoples told through music, dance and spoken word.
Featuring Lyndon Davis and the Gubbi Gubbi Dance troupe, renowned Sunshine Coast cellist Louise King, Torres Strait Island performers Uncle Milton Walit and Alister Bartholemew, Coolum State School’s Junior Choir and the CoolHearts Community Choir.
Artistically Directed and produced by Angie Dunbavan of Red Chair, Coolum.
Dawn Awakening is a free finale celebration for Horizon 2016.
Please arrive at 5am for a 5.15am start and the event will run until 6.15am.

For your own comfort please BYO torch, chair/beach-mat. Parking is limited, so carpooling where possible is advised with overflow available in the Lions Park.
