DAWN AWAKENING: Stumers Creek, Coolum Beach

A traditional meeting place for our Aboriginal ancestors, Stumers Creek will play centre stage for our Horizon festival finale gathering Dawn Awakening - a ceremonial celebration of the awakening of a new dawn; the traditional stories of our First Nations Peoples told through music, dance and spoken word.

Dawn Awakening is a free finale celebration for Horizon 2016.

Please arrive at 5am for a 5.15am start and the event will run until 6.15am.

For your own comfort please BYO torch, chair/beach-mat. Parking is limited, so carpooling where possible is advised with overflow available in the Lions Park. 

PLEASE NOTE: IF RAINING ON THE MORING OF DAWN AWAKENING, WE WILL RELOCATE TO  THE COOLUM CIVIC CENTRE AND START AT 5:30am.
