Patchwork Dreaming is a multimedia performance by woodwind duo, Alicia Crossley and Andrew Smith, that explores the complexities of cultural heritage and aboriginality in contemporary Australia.
As a question posed to the beneficiaries of a decrescent culture, it becomes incumbent on this artwork to offer a representation of the many aspects of Indigenous Australia, by way of a media collage of a microcosm.
Untold stories, narratives of loss and rediscovery is the stuff of this "patchwork" of themes and motifs from lesser-told aspects of Australia's multicultural experience.
Patchwork Dreaming is the intersectional meeting place between cultural facet and its representation in modern media.
The performance is held on Saturday 2 September from 2pm - 3:30pm.
