Welcome Volunteers – We value the important contribution that volunteers make towards the successful delivery of our festival program. We couldn’t do it without you!
If you are interested in volunteering as part of general festival activities, please apply using our volunteer management system, Better Impact. The Horizon Volunteer Program is presented by YOUI.
Here are some instructions to assist with your application:
- Before you complete our unique application you must create a volunteer profile which you can manage sort of like a Facebook profile. This profile allows you to volunteer in any area of the council that offers volunteering roles. If you are already registered in Better Impact as a council volunteer, then you can log straight in to apply to be a Horizon volunteeer.
- Once you have applied or logged in, you can manage your profile, view and roster yourself for available volunteer opportunities/shifts and can use the system to contact us, ask questions and send emails.
- The Horizon Festival will be advertising their shifts by Friday, 4th August. Once you have been accepted as a Horizon Volunteer, we will notify you via email and you will then be able to view and accept shifts.
- Because of this, you will need to log back into your profile to keep track of shifts and rostering. While the Horizon team has control over rostering, it will be your responsibility to log onto your volunteer profile to track and register for available shifts when they become available. Note: you will recieve notification emails about shifts.
