Relax into the weekend with Calmer Kids for free family friendly yoga.

Calmer Kids morning yoga session offers an insight into a combination of mindfulness, breathing and physical movement practice for you and your children.

Be prepared to join your kids in this morning session under the tree in the Festival Hub garden, and enjoy the magic of yoga with movement, mindfulness and relaxation. A beautiful way to start your day together.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Founded by sisters Michelle and Helen Calmer Kids is a Sunshine Coast based Social

Enterprise designed to connect learning and wellbeing with tools to help children feel calm.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, their programs offer a blend of mindfulness, breathing, and movement practices, which encompass relaxation, concentration, performance, resilience, and self-awareness. They offer a combination of in-person classes, workshops, and trainings as well as online programs and resources.

Calmer Kids is the go-to for teachers and educators who want to bring mindfulness and yoga into the classroom.

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Recommended for ages 5 – 12 with parent supervision, but younger and older children also welcome

Relaxed Performance
This workshop takes place in a public space. Please feel welcome to partake for as little or long as you like. It is a registered event, but you can leave at any time.

Each session will have a relaxed attitude towards noise and movement from participants.

We welcome all audiences to Horizon Festival and strive to make every event and performance as accessible as possible.

This venue is accessible to people who use wheelchairs.

Accessible bathrooms are available on site.

Accessible car parks are available at the northern end of the carpark adjacent to The Wonderland Spiegeltent.

Level Access
Entry to The Wonderland Spiegeltent Festival Hub garden is via level access.

Gender-Neutral Bathrooms
All Festival Hub garden bathrooms are gender-neutral.

Parking
There are various public carparks and plenty of street parking in and around Cotton Tree Park, where The Wonderland Spiegeltent is located. We encourage you to check the parking signs for timed carparks and bays.

Public Transport
The Wonderland Spiegeltent is centrally located in Cotton Tree and easily accessible via public transport. Visit the Translink website to plan your journey.

Recommended for ages 5–12 with parent supervision, but younger and older children also welcome.
