Community celebration
We’re kicking off Horizon Festival 2026 with a big, bold, all-in celebration by the beach – and this year, it’s extra special. Why? Because we’re turning 10!
Join us at Kings Beach in Caloundra for our version of an opening ceremony to celebrate 10 years of the Horizon community. Expect live music from some of the region's most talented musicians, family fun with games and activities for all ages, tasty food and refreshing drinks, and a vibe that gives creativity, connection and play.
Bring your crew – friends, lovers, sisters, brothers – and settle in for an afternoon that rolls into night, packed with program highlights and pure joy.
Join Bring A Plate Dance for a large‑scale flashmob performance as part of Horizon Festival Opening Night at Kings Beach. In this workshop, participants learn a fun, high‑energy routine, connect with others and prepare to perform together in a vibrant celebration of dance, music and community. Designed for all ages, bodies and experience levels, the process includes one workshop, a dress rehearsal and a collective performance on Opening Night, Friday 1 May. Suitable for beginners and experienced movers alike.
