About us

Horizon is an annual 10 day festival exploring the intersections of art, people, and place on Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Country, Sunshine Coast.

Horizon is a meeting point and a dividing line. Somewhere to connect, captivate, and challenge your notions — a place to wander and wonder through new art, music, performance and more. Horizon is a continuum. Always evolving, shifting slowly over time. Never lost, always searching.

We pay our deepest respects to the Traditional Owners, the first artists, storytellers, and dancers, whose enduring connection to Country continues on the lands and waters we now share.

Horizon returns 02 - 11 May 2025 for 10 days — with over 50 events across 10 locations — Sunshine Coast QLD.

So, to get you excited for what’s to come, have a flick through the 2023 recap — and subscribe to hear more about this year’s festival soon.

See you on the horizon.

Horizon Festival pays our deepest respect to the Traditional Custodians of this Country; the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara peoples of the coastal plains and hinterlands of the Sunshine Coast.

First Nations people are the original storytellers and artists of these lands and we honour the rich cultural contributions that First Nations artists bring to our Festival.
