Full Flower Moon Band, an Australian psych-rock powerhouse, has solidified its place in the music world with their genre-blending sound, dynamic performances, and innovative approach to music. Their career-defining album Megaflower, released in August 2025, debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and #6 on the ARIA Vinyl Charts, marking a monumental achievement for the band. The band has amassed over 5 million total streams, seen a 200% increase in monthly listeners, and sold out national tours in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Full Flower Moon Band’s genre-defying sound has garnered critical acclaim, with airplay on BBC, KEXP (US), and Australian stations like 2SER, PBS, and 4ZZZ. Their tracks ‘Roadie’ and ‘Illegal Things’ even caught the attention of Iggy Pop, who played them on BBC. They also secured a sync with Made in Chelsea for their song ‘Man Hands.’ Their innovative marketing strategies, such as limited vinyl pressings and fan engagement, have expanded their loyal following. The first pressing of Megaflower sold out in a week, leading to a second pressing to meet demand.
With a focus on regional touring and intimate live shows, Full Flower Moon Band has become a sought-after act internationally. They’ve played major festivals like The Bearded Theory, The Great Escape, and Dot To Dot Festival in the UK, alongside performances at Splendour In The Grass and Yours & Owls in Australia. The band has supported renowned acts such as The Black Crowes (USA), Frankie and The Witch Fingers (USA), The Murlocs, Nothing But Thieves (UK), and Bad Dreems, continuing to build their reputation as a must-see live act. Their music has found its way into the global spotlight, receiving praise from NME and securing international bookings, including a new partnership with a UK/EU booking agency for further development in 2025.
Their release Diesel Forever in 2023, along with singles like Trainspotting and NY-LA, was hailed by NME, while their music was featured on major platforms, including a sync with Nissan. Their forward-thinking approach to immersive performances and regional tours has reshaped their live experience, captivating new fans and maintaining their position as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging acts.
Full Flower Moon Band are playing twice at this year’s festival on the opening Sunday, supported by Gympie local four-piece, Hugo And The Hive.

Hugo And The Hive
Gympie four-piece queer indie rock band Hugo And The Hive formed in 2019, when they were just 13 years old. An emerging original music group, their music can be described as unique, acoustic-driven arrangements that blur the line between indie, pop and folk music — it's music that just makes you feel good! Siting influences none other than the amazing Greta Van Fleet, Amy Winehouse, Weezer, Spacey Jane, and Ed Helms, the group is thrilled to be back playing Solbar in support of Full Flower Moon Band.
