My Picks: Zartisha Davis' picks for the festival
Zartisha Davis is a passionate, multi-talented Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi artist and dancer, proudly representing her diverse cultural heritage through art, dance, and storytelling.

This year, Zartisha is taking part in the festival, showcasing her work in Yauar Warai Wandi – Sing, Dance, Gather, contributing to the site-responsive installation Middens alongside The First Creatives, and is a core artist in the project Us And All Of This!
Curious about what’s catching Zartisha’s eye in the program, we had to ask. Check out her top picks below.
Yauar Warai Wandi - Sing, Dance, Gather
Formerly known as Dawn Awakening, this year’s event at Stumers Creek, Coolum, will be a bit different, but still just as exciting! Everyone is welcome to come down and join in the celebration. Featured performances include the Gubbi Gubbi Dance Troupe, Jinibara Dance Troupe, and my collaboration with The First Creatives called Middens.

BARKAA
Don’t miss out on the performance by BARKAA at SolBar!

Us And All Of This
I’m a core artist apart of this project by Liesel Zink and Performing Lines. Other core artists include the amazing Bella Hood and Estefania Nurit.

Jarjum Life Museum
Run by Inala Wangarra, I was part of this project for Horizon 2023, and I would highly recommend bringing your Jarjums (kids) to experience the wonderful activities they have in store!

BERSERK
Bella Hood and Jag Popham will be performing at the Old Ambulance on the 3rd and 4th of May – definitely a must-see!
